To all the moms, we see you. And we’re here to help.

The support we offer to parents is backed by research and brain science, which sometimes makes explaining the importance of our services feel complicated and technical. But for moms of young children, the need for our services is pretty simple: Parenting is hard.

We know that the more parents we can help, the brighter the future will be for Tennessee’s children. When a parent gets the support they need to build a strong, nurturing relationship with their child, it’s the child who really reaps the benefit. So in our effort to reach more parents, and let them know we’re here to help, we’ve created a video designed to connect with the rollercoaster of emotions that comes along with becoming a parent.

Expecting a new baby can be exciting. It involves special attention and lots of preparation. Then, once the baby arrives, it can feel overwhelming to be caring for another person who has so many needs—at all times of day and night. Different people struggle with different parts of parenting, but we have a variety of services that can match parents' needs.

For any parent in Tennessee, trained counselors are available 24/7 to address questions or concerns through our Parent Helpline. For pregnant or new moms, we have a text-based mentorship program called NurtureTN where they can text with an experienced mother mentor to get information. Our most intensive support involves weekly home visits from birth to age 5 where our specially-trained home visitors provide hands-on coaching and parenting skills.

Research shows us that resilient, healthy adults come from healthy, nurtured childhoods. And real life shows us that every parent needs support to provide that for their child. For parents without a positive support system, we can be their lifeline. Share our video and help us spread the word!
