PRESS RELEASE: TN Voices Announce Strategic Union with Nurture the Next

Creating a Unified Voice for All

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NASHVILLE, TN – Today, TN Voices and Nurture the Next, two leading statewide nonprofit organizations, proudly announce they will become one organization under the name TN Voices effective January 1, 2025. This strategic union will enable both organizations to more effectively and efficiently improve outcomes for individuals, children, and families across Tennessee.

This strategic partnership is designed to leverage the strengths and expertise of both organizations. By joining forces, TN Voices and Nurture the Next aim to create a continuum of care that addresses the multifaceted needs of children from birth to age five, integrating mental health support, maternal health, early intervention and prevention services, and community engagement and advocacy.

Nurture the Next’s mission to create a future for children and families filled with promise and prosperity will seamlessly integrate with TN Voices’ goal of building hope for all generations. Together, they will continue to provide Nurture the Next’s services: evidence-based home visiting, parenting classes, and leadership in statewide policy and advocacy initiatives. This collaboration is rooted in the shared vision of a society where every child thrives in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.

Rikki Harris, the CEO of TN Voices, said, “TN Voices joining forces with Nurture the Next will benefit both organizations and the individuals and families we serve. This unified organization will not only maintain all current staff, programs, and services, but also increase our footprint and impact across the state. Families will benefit from a comprehensive support system that fosters emotional, cognitive, and social development and provides upstream prevention services to mitigate future negative outcomes.”

Kristen Davis, the CEO of Nurture the Next, said, “Through shared resources and staff expertise, the joint organization will achieve greater operational efficiencies and access to more funding streams, ultimately expanding our reach and enhancing service delivery. The unified organization is committed to continually improving and innovating how we serve families, meeting them where they are, and dreaming big about the possibilities for the future.” Kristen Davis will lead the transition and become the Chief Innovation Officer to steward future opportunities for innovation and growth.

Nurture the Next will anchor the early childhood division within TN Voices and serve in a strategic role to expand the range of services offered, geographic areas served, and staffing capacity specifically focused on maternal health, evidence-based home visiting, and parenting support during the first five years.

The combined expertise and experience of both organizations will address barriers faced by families, providing comprehensive support services that prevent and mitigate the impact of early childhood experiences on future mental health outcomes.
